How Kinfolo protects family artwork, stories, and personal data

Kinfolo is built for parents and guardians who want a calmer way to preserve a child's artwork. The drawings, notes, photos, and stories you save are private family memories by default, not advertising inventory.
This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep the language as plain as possible because privacy should be understandable before it is legal.
Kinfolo is intended for adults, especially parents and guardians. Children should not create accounts or use Kinfolo directly without appropriate parent or guardian involvement.
If we learn that a child has created an account directly or provided personal information without the required permission, we will take reasonable steps to delete that information or work with the parent or guardian.

We do not use your child's artwork to build an open social feed, advertising profile, or ranking system. We do not sell family artwork or personal information.
Kinfolo may use AI providers to help with tasks such as image cleanup, cropping, title suggestions, tags, and editable descriptions. The goal is to reduce busywork for parents, not to judge or profile children.
We do not use AI to make psychological, developmental, medical, or educational claims about a child. You remain in control of what is saved, edited, shared, or deleted.

Kinfolo is private by default. If we offer sharing links or family access features, you decide what to share and with whom. Please share thoughtfully, especially when artwork includes a child's name, face, school, handwriting, or other identifying details.
An adult account holder may choose to submit an artwork connected to a creative prompt for review. If approved, Kinfolo may show only the artwork image and broad material labels to other signed-in Kinfolo families who have also submitted artwork from that prompt.
Kinfolo does not attach the child's name, profile, avatar, age, written description, voice recording, account identity, likes, comments, or rankings to the submission. The account holder must check that the submitted image itself does not visibly contain a child's full name, school, address, real face photo, or other identifying details. Submission is optional, reviewed before display, and can be withdrawn by the account holder. Withdrawing removes the artwork from the inspiration gallery without deleting the private copy in the family's gallery.
