Private Online Gallery for Kids' Art: What to Look For
Most online art galleries are for selling work. A family needs the opposite: private by default, the child's real marks, and sharing that does not become a public feed.
Search "online art gallery" or "free online art galleries" and the results are mostly for artists who want to exhibit or sell. That is a real job. It is not the job of a parent whose camera roll is full of school paintings.
A private online gallery for kids' art is closer to a family album with edges. The pieces stay off the public internet. The marks stay the child's. Sharing happens on purpose, to a grandparent or an aunt, not to a feed.
A short checklist
Private by default. Nothing is searchable. Nothing is "discovered." If a link exists, you created it, and you can turn it off. A public artist profile with a privacy toggle buried in settings is not the same thing.
The original strokes. Photo cleanup (crop, straighten, less glare) is housekeeping. Regenerating the drawing is a different picture. If you already decided you do not want the work redrawn for a book or a framed piece, the gallery should obey the same rule.

Share as a visit, not a dump. Four to eight pieces in a browser, no account for Grandma, no social login. A family group-chat blast is not a gallery. Neither is a public exhibition page with a pretty URL.
The paper still has a path. Software does not retire the stack on the counter. Display, gift, digitize, or let go still apply; we wrote that down in what to do with kids' artwork. A digital gallery that cannot point you back to a wall that stays small is only half a system.
About "free"
Free online galleries for adult artists are often free because the art is the product: exposure, a contest, a cut of a sale. A family gallery is the other way around. You are the customer. "Free to start" should come with a number: how many pieces, how many children, what happens when you go over.
